Striker Build
#61
Well I used Russt's dps calculator and Shockwave still wins over Shark Wave with just Critical factored in (by about 30%), so with Sparks I'm sure Shark Wave will be better.

I guess Shockwave is still failwave even for Thunder Breakers.

I think spark only hits 2 mob(lv1) no matter how many targets you hit. And it's damage formula doesn't seem to be as simple as skill % * damage range o.O

around 1:00 he gets a mob of 4 and uses shark wave. each mob gets hit ~4 times per wave. pretty sure sparks activates for each monster you touch.
his is probably max, but i doubt it activates differently at lower lvls.

Well with my level 1 spark, no matter how many targets I hit with SSK, only 2 additional hit comes out. And according to the skill table, it hits 2 at level 1-10, hits 3 at level11-20.

I couldn't see anything in the video lol.

then either kms has skill updates we dont have yet (which is entirely possible because of the cygnus system we got), sparks gets a LOT better the higher it is, or your vision sucks Tongue
i dont think the 3rd one is likely, but if you cant see the ridiculous number of hits he can dish out in the video... Rolleyes

So I just finished up 2nd job, I found that blast was so insanely powerful that I left it at 11 until 67 because it basically 1-hit (or tap corkscrew + blast) pretty much anything trainable that I actually had the accuracy to hit, lol. Blast is awesome, and I recommend everyone to get it to 11 ASAP after the essentials and charge to 20 right after that. Once you get past that point, you'll hate not being in the bubble. I spent the rest of 2nd job just splitting points between increasing corkscrew's range basically and increasing somersault's power with lightning charge. Then dumping into blast and booster at the end. By the way, sharkwave, even at level 1, is pretty awesome at ghost ship 3 (or whatever is the one with slimies), you can just sit on the circular warp and fire off sharks around you, really helps with the sort of dead zone before you have the accuracy for gobies/kents(/duals?) then himes/typhons/newties. The lightning-weakness allows you to 2-hit them right off the bat with sharkwave, or just a couple levels in if you're a little bit weaker.

Thanks. I was planning on finishing mastery and maxing lightning charge right after for truckers, but I guess I wont be doing that since I don't plan on being their long either way.

^Windraider is still unbeatable exp, due to the insane hp/exp ratio for mobs around its level. Once your SW is stronger, and you don't miss blue kents more than 20%, it will be heaven for at least 20 levels. At around 100 it gets abit slower, then you can try other spots.

Edit: btw modular, I'm sure now spark only hits 3 max, at level 10-20, whether you used a mob attack or a single target attack. For a mob attack, it only activates on the first mob you hit, connect to at most 3 mobs within the range.

Edit2: SW in skele=win, pineapple newt
