I do not know if there's a specific forum for ideas and suggestions for maplestory. If there is, I apologize.
I do not intend for this idea to go any father than being just a part of my imagination.
All of the bosses in Maplestory are for higher levels. Hence the "boss" title. All of the "mini-bosses" are kind of bland, and don't reward experience well enough. I was thinking, it would be cool of there was a "boss" for the lower leveled players that had run prerequisites and required a party.
Now, you can't have a super mega boss for level 20-40 characters. Maybe the name "Teeney Weeney" would be appropriate. xD
In the spoilers are some information from my brain about how this would all be organized.
Information on Teeney Weeney
Prerequisites and Level Requirements
*Teeney Weeney prerequisite quests require a level of 20-40, all classes.
Teeney Weeney is a boss that is located in Ellinia.
The Teeney Weeney lobby is on the ground level of Ellinia. It's all dark and shady, with small refrences to Elin forest, representing that the floor of Ellinia is rarely visited. The lobby map can be visited by going to The Tree That Grew I and taking the very right portal in the tree (moving down). The beginning of the map is a collection of branches bringing you down to the floor, and near the middle, you reach the ground. An old man (NPC-Edun) will greet you at the bottom- a retired magician.
He has been seeing signs of dying trees at the forest floor, and he is worried an evil creature is killing the nature in the forest.
You may bring a party of up to 6 people, or go alone.
First prerequisite quest: The study of the past
Edun wants you to collect information about a previous event in the past, a time between Elin, and present day. You have to go through the lower-canopy levels in Ellinia (new maps), and ask familiar NPCs about the past.
In this new map, there is: Arwen the Fairy, Francois, Len the Fairy, Flora the Fairy, Serabi the Fairy, and Wing, and Mar the Fairy.
You have to collect 4 log entries from random NPCs. Once you collect them, go to Mar the Fairy and have her translate the ancient language. Then she'll piece it all together in a small book, and it becomes interactive.
By reading the book, you find out that Grendel was born after the Poison forest was healed and restored. He practiced magic, and then turned to dark magic in his early years. He summoned a lot of mobs, and sent them to torture the town. They hurt people, killed trees, destroyed homes. After Grendel gave up dark magic, he destroyed all but one of his monsters. The one hid in the trees until time passed. It held the power of time, and kept itself from aging. The mob that we are talking about becomes known as the Teeney Weeney.
By finishing all of the pages of the book and returning the information to Edun, you will receive a Dark Orb, and 2,000 experience.
Dark Orb description:
A ball filled with dark power. Only a refiner can extract the dark power within the ball. Until then, it's best to leave it alone.

Second prerequisite quest: Signs of existence
Edun now wants you to go through the forest floor and see if you can find signs of existence of the Teeney Weeney. So the map is long horizontally. There are 20 invisible NPCs in the forest, and each time you enter the map, they move. The NPCs are located over bushes, shrubs, trees, plants, and branches. This part it hard, and you should bring a party with you. One of the twenty NPCs, when clicked, show a sign of movement, and shows a shadow move around. Then you have to report back to Edun, and move to the next map.
The next map is easy. You have to go inside a tree where the Teeney Weeney lives, and break a piece of wood from the tree (yet another hidden NPC), return to Edun within 3:00 of entering the map, or you will be seen by the boss, and returned to the lobby.
From the NPC in the tree, you will receive the item Dark Wood.
Dark Wood description: Wood ripped from a tree where a dark creature resides.
If you have the Dark Wood, Edun will reward you with 3,000 experience.

Third prerequisite quest: Extracting the Magic
Edun wants you to take the items to an Old Lady in a new hidden street to create an item: The Dark Staff (unequip-able version) by combining the orb and shaping the wood. Once the old lady gives you the staff, take it to Edun for 3,000 experience, and an equipable version of the Dark Staff (ALL CLASSES MAY USE THIS ITEM- skills may not be used while wielding this weapon).
Boss room and Boss statistics
Talking to Edun, you have the option to enter the boss room. The boss room is located inside of a tree. There are only three platforms, and if you fall off, you will be forced to climb up a rope (extending one and a half map lengths).
The boss is a round ball, relatively larger than a snail, and smaller than a pig.
When you're inside of the tree, use the Dark Staff to hit a plant, the plant will die and then the Teeney Weeney will be summoned (and the staff will disappear from your inventory)
For defeating the Teeney Weeney, he drops mesos, and low level equips. Also, he drops an untradeable pendant, The Dark Leaf, adding 2 to each stat and adding 50 HP and 25 MP.
When you're all finished, Edun will spawn at the very bottom of the map. Talk to him for 2,000 experience.
