Code Geass/V for Vendetta? O_O

Well, I never got around to watching Code Geass, so I recently started the series and around episode 6, I realized the plot is extremely similar to the movie V for Vendetta.

Both are pretty much about one man rebelling against a government/society as an act of anarchy (V for Vendetta) and to have a better world for a loved one to live in (Code Geass)

Is this true? or just a coencidence.

No, Code Geass is Death Note with mechas. Code Geass R2 is about FABULOUS, LOYALTY and train wrecks. And pizza. And homolust.

Though it's not like V for Vendetta's plot is so original. Countless things have followed the cookie-cutter rebel against evil government to better world, etc plot. lol

Well I bet it will be a lot different once I get to season 2. I just started it so yeah.
So far it's amazing.

If both of you are gonna watch R2, just forget everything about season 1, including what you liked about it. R2 is ridiculous and about as stupid as any "plot" can be. Like I said...just watch it for the FABULOUS and LOYALTY. Otherwise you're gonna get a train wreck plot with power levels, THOUSANDS OF GEASS USERS, homolust, ALL HAIL LELOUCH, NUCLEAR BOMBS LOL, etc.
