Linkin Park - New Divide
#1
Linkin Park released their new song recently for the new Transformers movie coming out soon. It's not as great as their other songs, and personally, I think they tried a bit too hard for this song, but it's a good song overall. That's my two cents.

It's not a bad song, I really like the intro. However, I did feel like this was too similar to What I've Done. This might grow on me though. Goggleemoticon

Meh. Definitely does sound strained, and not because it's angsty. Instrumentally, I think this is much better than What I've Done, but not lyrically at all.

They need more songs like Papercut. Sad

Totally seconded. And more like Hybrid Theory overall.

I agree, I love Hybrid Theory.

I had high expectations for this song, so I'm a bit disappointed. :S

Linkin Park died after Hybrid Theory. Well, Meteora was good too.

I loved numb and leave out all the rest.

I like their different styles, when one band stays with one type too long they stagnate.

Papercut definitely was indeed a good song. I hated the song 'Numb', I loved the lyrics, I won't lie, but the fact that everyone used it their AMVs, Maple Story vids, etc, made me hate the song.

As for this song, it's... not as good as their older songs.

Bleh. I'm not sure how I feel about this song. I kind of... left the Linkin Park fan bus when that atrocious lolLinkin Park and Jay-Z collaboration came out. I do, however, love a LOT of the lyrics in Minutes to Midnight - especially Hands Held High.

I really wish they would go back, as everyone else is saying, to the style they had in Hybrid Theory.

I liked the Linkin Park+Jay-Z mash-up... :f6:

I didn't. At all. Then again - I'm not a fan of rap... at all.

Oddly enough though - I didn't mind Reanimation.

Reanimation wasn't rap though, it was more techno/trancey.

Ahh, that reminds me of the old times:

Reanimation was OK in general too. But I don't reeeeaaaally like remixes.

Yeah. It was a decent CD, but I think the In The End remix is my favorite. It quite possibly is my favorite of all LP songs. lol

I meant rap, more in the terms of certain parts of "Enth E Nd", and "X-Ecutioner Style".

Bleh - I don't know - I'm really picky when it comes to certain things - like why I don't mind Mike Shinoda rapping, but not many other rappers.

Nothing will compare to Hybrid Theory - EP or LP. Just really wish Linkin Park would go back to that.

My favorite has to be the demo version of In The End- I thought it was amazing.

I love rap anyway. The best song there was Hi-Voltage.
