hackers cause lag?
#1
suppose i use a wireless internet adapter, connected to my parents crappy d-link wireless router connected to the comcast cable. This how my maplestory gets internets.

Suppose now, that there's about 500 maps in maplestory that has monsters in it. Suppose 1/3rd if these maps have hackers in them, using no cooldown hacks attacking as fast as possible.

Will this cause lag to others that are trying to train? Especially to those with internet that isnt that great.

Hmm, I just read your comment about no-cooldown and wondered... why don't hackers NoDelay infinity...

It shouldn't affect you any more than other players with faster connections.

Hackers mostly cause lag when the servers are nearer 100% load, meaning it takes longer to respond for all players.

no delay is the one im talking about, couldnt think of the name earlier.. Im at sand rats and tehres hackers in almost every channel. They jsut stand there, monsters dieng as soon as they get stuck in the vac... I cant train, the lag is unbearable

I feel like, the situation is the same as 10000 people trying to download one song from one website...

Where are the GMs?

Where are the GMs?

You are at least 20% more likely to see a ghost in this lifetime than you are to see a GM in maple story.

What I am saying is that they rarely do anything about hackers. It's hard to tell if they're even around, though I'm sure they are.

Because No Delay makes it so there's "no delays" in between attacks.

ND doesn't work like that. All it does is make it so the attack speed is replaced with something faster. (ie, rapid fire) The animation stays the same. Some attacks can't be delayed because they're speshul. (BoT, savage blow, power strike/slash blast, etc) Buffs still act the same way including cooldown (that means snipe too), and skills with delays can't be ND'd. (double upper, Bstep, screw punch, backspin, barrage, etc)

Infinity doesn't work, obviously.

Ohai.
Well said. Buffs can be no delayed. All it would pretty much do is make you be able to cast it and keep walking, and make it spammable.
