They should have summoned the grandmasters in the engima chamber at the end of the whole attacking story, hahah, but I doubt enough people would have known to go there =X

Still it was fun, aside from bigfoots new hige hitbox getting me killed multiple times.

Both happy and sad at what the event really was. I was hoping it was GMs clearing out hackers en masse, yet at the same time that's a wicked monster summoning event.

So... Goggleemoticon I r neutral.

Of course, that could occur if there were people stupid enough to hack at those events. I think someone actually hacked in such events before, but I don't remember if GMs did anything about it.

Wow, that was an intense event.

Too bad, I was too busy Masteria PQing. Well, I couldn't have killed any BF/powerful boss anyway. =P

And yeah, it also gives some sense to the storyline (ex.: the Grandmasters wanted to send their forces to New Leaf City, so the GM summon Masteria monsters there). Plus, I like the way the GMs noticed those things.

I'm looking forward more events like this. Goggleemoticon

By my logic of blue text before the patch appeared when GMs banned hackers at places like Horntail and Zakum, I had the bright idea during that time that GMs were doing the same thing during 1st day of the patch. I didn't know it was a mass monster event in the respective towns, because I was at CWKPQ trying it out. Guild alliance recently broke up and guild was very small at the time, so I had no one to tell me it was a GM monster event. Tongue In a sense, self-fail.

Finally, a "Monster Invasion" at the scale of the first one in 2005. (That, and the mandatory idiot going "GMs WE LOVE U")

I may be waay behind the loop, but NLC is still classified as a town in which exp loss is 1%, right? Because according to your images you lost at least 1.25% from that first death. I also thought I noticed that when I died after the patch, I lost closer to 9.25% rather than the formerly decreased amount.

Was the loss exp% rate changed in this patch, or am I imagining things and NLC was always a glitched exp loss?

On Topic: I always loved these Defend the town type summons. A long time ago on another MMO I played, we had them quite frequently and they were much less merciful than these. Of course, even with large mobs of bosses in that game, it was balanced to a point where level variation would not cause the enemies to be gone in seconds or take hours to kill either. Also, the exp rates were not so terrible there so the loss from deaths wouldn't cost you a week's training. But still, these kinds of things are fun IMO.
