The Terror of MV!

So, uh, where do you find these letters? I went into the PQ several times now, (as short and useless as it is) and I have yet to find anything of the sort. Please don't tell me they are only drops from that treasure room.

Are they?

You break the rocks in the PQ then little MV's summon, sometimes they drop SOS letters which are worthless, sometimes they drop the letters that you need.

Ah, so I just need to kill him slower so he spawns his mini-selves then? I was killing him in 30 seconds and I didn't think there was anything else to that PQ. I'll go try that now.

And how often do those letters drop?

Just curious since I don't want the party being too made at me for not attacking.

Alright I'm more confused now. I joined a different party but was warped to a JQ this time instead of all the times I was sent to the boss. I didn't manage to loot or even see any letters since I was talking and confused, but after leaving the area, my party went into the boss room like I had done before and after that the quest was complete. I never touched a letter though, so I'm even more confused now.

The letters are in the JQ part, if your leader already did the JQ and clicked the NPC you totally skipped it and went straight to the boss the first time, the JQ part is a pre-requisite for the boss, you hit the rocks in the JQ and the little MVs pop out like I was talking about, but it really only applies to the leader, the Party members are just there to tag along and get the quest done as they go, you just jumped in halfway through and went straight to the boss.

Anyone know anything about all these MV Hats going around and stuff? I didn't see anything of that kind to get during the PQ or the Boss.

It's not exactly a JQ. If you start the quest with Cody, and get other people who are doing that quest, and enter through that uh... blue guy, you'll get to the place with red British-lookin' guys that kick your arse. It's more of a PQ.
