Something Weird

Ok, I was doing Abel's quest and found the glasses. I returned them to him but he didn't give me the exp. He told me to keep searching for the glasses (even though I returned them to him). I noticed I gained 5 scrolls. I went back to get the glasses and gave them to Abel. This time he took ALL glasses and gave me 5 scrolls and 1700 exp. Was this a glitch? The normal exp is 1000.

I've had the same thing happen before. Took me several tries to figure out why I think it was happening. If you let the dialogue play all the way through, he just takes the glasses and give you scrolls. If you press enter before it can finish loading, it finishes it. I suspect you could abuse it to get a ton of scrolls, but it's not really necessary to have more than what the quests normally give you.

The quest reward varies if you give him the wrong glasses, the right glasses, or both.

I think there are 2 fakes, but I don't think which fake you give him matters.

Huh, same thing happened to me while doing quests on my friend's account, but no matter if I let the dialogue finish or just 'next'ed or 'enter'ed it through, it would still happen over and over to me, so I just gave it up. The next patch fixed it for me though.

I think I did this quest in JMS. The experience, if I remember correctly was slightly different. I can't read Japanese so I couldn't help you more than that... That and it could be completely different.

so you can give him the fake but then you can do it again for the real? or you can only do one of the three options Isaac gave?

Well if I remember correctly, you can't even turn in the wrong glasses... he just says that they're not his and won't take 'em.

Also, in the example, Abel takes his glasses away from the guy twice, in fact, showing that you can turn it in multiple times due to some unknown reason.
