I suppose these events are to celebrate their publisher's 20th anniversary.

TWMS publisher is called 'Orange' if you do not know it yet.

Yeah, it's probably for Gamania's 20th anniversary. The mascot for Gamania appears to be an orange.

maybe since you can that orange pet from the main page on maplesimulator which havent updated in ages

I always thought that this was a sausage with legs. I never assumed it was an orange wedge.
