Why won't this Protection Scroll work?

As far as I can tell, there's nothing wrong. Is it just a bug in the system? Other scrolls work fine.

Can you SS the scroll, hovering over it?
There was a light edition of these in KMS(working for items lv100 or below), but they might not have carried the name over to GMS.

The light versions of the scrolled are properly named as such.

To Viener; are you able to simply drag and drop it onto the staff to use it?

Maybe you could get a friend to help with that? Someone you trust of course.

The scroll is actually only tradable within the account, don't know why it looks like it's tradable in the window.

I just tried to use one myself on a friend's 2H fafnir sword. It appeared to work only the game crashed when the scrolling animation should have ended. After relogging, I saw that the scroll was consumed and no shield icon was present on the sword.

it seems to be a glitch with the new scrolling method, i had it happen with one of those utility scrolls a while ago (can't remember which however)

No, it wasn't. But it's fine, something was wack with the PC. I restarted it and it worked afterwards.
