Hayato is new to Maple World and must train to become powerful in our strange, new world. Help him become the mighty samurai he once was with 12 hours of Hot Time this weekend!

Log in from noon to midnight on Saturday, March 16 (12 PM to 11:59 PM Pacific) and click the gift box icon on the left side of your game window to receive some powerful items for Hayato! 5 Star Enhancement Scroll, Hayato's Helmet, and 5 Sengoku Coins will be given out on Saturday!

Your character must be Lv.13 or above to accept the free items. If you are logged in before noon, or you reach level 13 during the event period, you must relog into MapleStory to claim your gifts. Be sure to open the box during its event period - it'll disappear at midnight the next day (12 AM Pacific, 3 AM Eastern)!

Couldn't they at the very least tell us how many players are going to have one instead of "there's a chance"? That choice of words makes me think that it's a really low one. For all we know it's 1/server

We know from past Hot Days that the chance is minute. Try to put the possibility entirely out of your mind. You're doing Hot Day for the hat, scroll, and coins. And a level 70 weapon.

When I got the box from the last Kanna hot time, the reward UI said that 20 people will get a level 150 weapon.

I assume that means 20 people out of all worlds.

Makes me wonder how 20 per server works on merged servers.

I assume the 20 are shared as one server..

I forgot about it too. I got the prize on 2 accounts, and completely fucking forgot about it otherwise. So many 5 star EE's I missed out on ;~;

Are they good? I was half-way through my accounts when I asked myself if it was really worth the 10-minute trouble. I only carried on because of the 150 katana.

You have a 30.2% chance of straight-shotting 5 AEE's and the rest of the percentage results in 100% KA-BOOM if you fail.

The 5-star EE's have a 50% chance of working and 50% chance destruction if it fails (so 25% chance of KA-BOOM), so they are definitely worth it if you plan to enhance something down the line.

More importantly, the 5-star EE's require an average of two Wards to pass and give you 5 stars on your item. If you did it with regular AEEs, then even if you were lucky enough for all five to pass first try, you'd still use four Wards.

Oh, now that you put it that way. I guess I've never had the kind of money that allows me to entertain using either multiple of the clean equips or shielding Wards.
