Hmm.. I have Spore downloaded from the cd, but I don't have the online portion cause me and my friend used the code too many times. If I bought it like this, it would come with the online portion right?

You are literally robbing EA of their money by doing this over and over again.

From what I've gathered, its 3 "purchases" per IP. I've heard something about cookies, but all my purchases were made sans cookies in Incognito mode, so I'm not sure.

No? EA don't lose any money, they only lose potential income. Big difference really.
And i personally won't touch origin with a ten foot pole, but still a good heads up for others Smile

Pretty much this, they can't lose anything if they really didn't have it in the first place. It would be an entirely different thing if Physical sales where the only method of distribution actually and that code would allow you to get one of those disc. But meh i should stop writing now...

Origin now has the options to disable data and hardware information gathering.

From what I can understand Origin originally didn't have these options so you were forced to have them gather information, unlike other similar clients like Steam that gave you the choice. If you go into your Origin client and go to the Privacy tab you can disable what you want. Somebody correct me if I'm still missing something here though.

Just saw this now, fml. Is it possible to log into someone's account from my computer who got these free games and download it to my computer for free? Actually that's a really stupid question, they would never allow this to happen. Just wishful thinking over here...
