Killed Arkarium (Cygnus one) on Mihile and a Diamond Mark dropped. Did some Googling but couldn't find anyone that knew what it was for. Is it useless, like the armor pieces that Guardians of ToT drop?

Yes. It also drops hearts. Not sure about clubs and spades. Might be from some KMS event or other, but they never had any use in GMS.
