Anyway - like I just said, Nexon has definately lost me as a customer, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Here's to Fiel - for staying diligent, and hoping that Nexon will one day come to terms and allow you to post the information that us Maplers look forward to seeing every time theres a patch.

I don't think anything can stop nexon now, except if someone go and bomb their HQ. (Not recommended)
But then I really don't get it, they might as well as shut down all other fan websites. I 100th that what Fiel did excites most people about what's coming. If they grasp onto the idea of intellectual property, but if they get profit from it, they might as well as let it slide. I am someone that loves the game but hates the company that runs it as well, and what they did is just really out there. Nexon really don't deserve what they are earning especially when they only give the advantages of gamecards and iTCG to the North Americans. There are players from other parts of the world that plays their game and spends just as much NX as the N. American players, how come we don't get the benifits?

I saw hackers yesterday while trying to train my new piratess, first ones in months. They have time to come after Fiel, but no time to go after hackers. GG Nexon =____=

Maybe people could start using auction sites again too, since they're dead now. ;_;

I honestly don't have any problems with the recent events being based on NX, I only have a problem with how they handled southperry.net. Nexon is a company, and if they need to hold NX events in order to keep the game running and keep me playing, then fine. The servers in Maple are totally dead these days, remember when 2x events brought overpopulation notices? I didn't see anything CLOSE to overpopulation over the weekend, and I'm personally afraid that it has more to do with Maple losing players than having 10 servers (or rather Maple failing to gain players).

The NX events haven't even given that large of an advantage to paying customers either. People made billions off of the box event by merely selling gold boxes, not buying NX, and the mount event benefits everyone without a mount regardless of whether they get mount covers or not. Sure, I'd love to be able to collect more crystals from the maple dungeon quests, but I still have the opportunity to experience it.

But yeah, shutting down Fiel was stupid. I know southperry seems like a small community, but I know that every single one of you spreads the information about upcoming patches to your buddy lists and guildmates, and can vouch for just how clueless 99% of the community is and will be without Fiel's extractions.

I think failing to gain is more the case. Which is why they are going into high gear with the NX events... because they ARE relying on it to survive. The problem isn't also less players, but we are spread out thinner and thinner between more servers. Thus, there's isn't going to be an overpopulation issue.

Part of the reason they are not drawing players in, IS that everything is so focused on NX. New players soon realize that the only way to enjoy the game is by purchasing NX. Granted, enjoyment is different for everybody, but for a good portion of MMO players, this involves levelling up at a reasonably quick rate, with access to cool items.

Which is why, despite MS' "better" graphics, people flock to RuneScape. To get the full experience (because honestly, F2P only has access to maybe 30% of the game) you only have to pay 5 bucks a month, period. No extras, no recharging, just 5 bucks.

I've come across this in any game that allows players to spend real cash on an "as needed" basis... the economies get screwed, and eventually people who cannot afford to pay real money will get screwed and quit. They would have done ten times better if they had set themselves up initially as a game with a monthly fee.

Switch games. If you do your research, newer games are coming out and there are some that are better than Maple; if you switch games you charge no NX, if enough people do it, Nexon is "stopped" like any company with a failed product.

They woulndn't put out a new server if there were so few people that the old servers weren't being crowded. It costs money to keep Mardia or Khaini open. I think something else is the issue here.

Edit: oops, double post; sorries~!

You'd expect with the money they earn from all of these nx events that they'd be experts at doing stuff in game. Heck no, look at all of the pirate glitches, numerous typos that haven't been fixed yet, the crappy purpose of Tespia, extended patches, and more.

I think it's because everyone's leaving their jobs at Nexon. I mean, look at how many available postions are there now: O_O Just half a year ago it was only 3, not 15ish.

I highly doubt people are leaving their jobs like that, but it seems Nexon is more of expanding. Which would mean more people to work on the games, which would mean less mistakes, because it's reviewed more...

However, I do agree, and I am quite confuse as to why Nexon sent a C&D. However, I highly doubt Fiel will stop... I would lol if the letter was an accident and was ment for FMS.

EDIT: I'm quite sure that for the longest time, Nexon has been understaffed, even before all this, way before.

Every company does that for legal reasons. When you type in a fake age, then it isn't Nexon's fault.

That does prove they see the anger of the community due to errors. They have always, again, seemed to be really understaffed. Nexon America is still not that big of a gaming company in America, unlike Blizzard who has a 200,000,000,000 more EXP points in game maintenance.

That's not my point. I'm 18. I only did this to show that they require you to be 13 to play the game, but make the game content for kids under that age.
