Should the Jump button be replaced with float?

I was thinking, would it be a good idea to just replace the jump button with float? I would think so, seeing as how it's basically just jump with some MP useage and a slower fall. Would this be a good idea or a bad one?

When you use Float you don't jump. Let me find the video that shows Float in action.

...oh yeah, you need the jump key for Jump Down.

ive played pirates on private servers it jumps for u than makes a super annoying sound also you have to wait like 1-2seconds before using again it gets very annoying
