Need helps with JavaScript

I want the page to show texts varies value "id" sent to the page. Example:

/forum.php?id=0

That's "id" I'm talking about. I can write JavaScript, I just don't know how to get the id value.

There are two ways to do this easily. You can either include it in a javascript section in the HTML or you can use a jQuery plugin.
