TeamRAD's new Guild Site - CRITIQUING NEEDED

Since my previous post was deleted because a moderator didn't understand it was NOT A GUILD RECRUITMENT ADVERTISEMENT (TeamRAD MS is FULL), I will post this again with different wording:

Web DESIGN, just like other forms of DIGITAL DESIGN (logos, music / video production, animation, CAD, modeling, etc) is one of my favorite things to do. I've designed several websites for both personal and business purposes, and am seeking opinions for my latest CREATION. I'd like people to reply HERE with what they think of both the digital images on the site's front page (there are FOUR [TeamRAD, Maplestory Screenshot, Unreal Tournament design, and the "RAD Radio" image], the Diablo image is just a cropped image that Blizzard created), and the site itself (layout, color scheme, overall useability, functionality). This was my first experiment with the Joomla Content Management System and I'd like to add this website to my PORTFOLIO, so if there's any improvements I can do before hand, please reply HERE IN SOUTHPERRY.NET and let me know.

Do you want people to have headaches after looking at your text for too long or something?
Not gonna lie, I had to squint.

Deploying Joomla and applying a pre-made theme doesn't seem like too much work went into the site. I curious as to what modifications were done exactly. Because it is clear that the user-uploaded images ("TeamRAD, Maplestory Screenshot, Unreal Tournament design, and the "RAD Radio" image") didn't come from the same hands as the layout itself.

With packages like WordPress and Joomla, it's becoming increasingly simple for people to "design" sites. Maybe post some other work that are unique and purely from your own hands.

Muscle, to which are you referring? the site layout in general? (in retrospect, probably yes because the whole site is like that haha.) If more people complain about the readability, I'll consider a redesign.

@Xtothel, yea unfortunately I'm not much of a graphics artist. I'm still looking for assistance with the imagry, but my main hand in this comes from the layout and design itself. the theme is a rockettheme template, but most of the modules are 3rd party (not rok-mods). the majority of the modification is actually in the site forum, but unless you've done admin work for a forum, it's kinda hard to know what was done and what was already preset. either way, thank you for the review.

Rob and XThothel, both of you mentioned not liking the logo, which is the same old logo we've used for years... can you guys provide me with example logos of what you guys like? I'd like to bring our logo more current but I don't know where to begin on that. Also, when you say "logo" are you referring to the lettering, or the front-page TeamRAD image (with background) ?

Update: After hearing several people's opinions (mine included) that the original opening logo was TOO chaotic, I've changed it so a simpler form of chaos. It's now got a bluish-white spiky abstract on the right, with "TeamRAD" on the left.
