First things first, hello all My name is Vann and I've been following your forum for sometime and decided to finally socialize in it.
This is my first post/thread in this forum so I'm not completely sure if it belongs here.
I was reading some extractions on kmst 1.2.391 and discovered that classes wont get more mp based on the int they equip...
to anyone playing kms how does this affect people that have already gained mp this way, and how does it affect people that were planning to hp wash?
It also says there is a new way to get more base mp.... Does anyone know about this?

I'd guess the new way to get more base is to gain personality points.

That seems odd considering HP washing is one of the biggest money makers for the game. The more extra MP you have, the more MP you can wash. As a warrior with just 40 INT (MoN, SL helmet, BB rings), I can get between 8 and 10 MP a level, and I only need 4 of that to wash out. This means I'll always be able to wash at least one point of HP per level. Removing the bonus MP from INT makes it all a game of luck. Warriors would get 4-6 MP by default. It would take two levels to get enough MP to wash if you're lucky. I'm not saying to do this as a warrior (you'll have more than enough HP), but the other classes should fall into the same problem. This is something I'd like to see a KMS player check. Otherwise, it's a core mechanic that should not be removed since it would give veteran players an advantage.

Yeah, because that's never happened before...?

HP washing is pointless now anyway.

Speaking of which....
My DB has more HP than my NL. More as in like...another 1000 almost.
NL - 168
DB - 147
What the hell man? My NL has washed like 10 points, while my DB washed 1 (free) point.

Well, Dual Blades aren't a ranged class, so it's only natural they'd get a bit more health to make up for the extra touch damage they take.

Or what if it works opposite and newer players will get the benefit?
I.g, the dice system which made newer players a bit better over veterans by starting with "perfect" ap's

Sorry about the bump but does anyone have any additional information to this change?
" To compensate, the formula for MP gain upon levelling has been changed.". Max in orange mushroom kmst 1.2.391
How much is the compensation?
I'm planning to make a UA that I want to train with about 100 int to make up for its lower mp and possibly hp wash later on, but I rather wait if the compensation is greater.

Speaking as a Dark Knight you can never have enough HP or MP.

Besides, My wife is a DrK. Her sacs hit cap more often than not, and that just means Dark Impale will be better at some point.

Dice system for starting stats, addition of quests to maple island, removal of ultimate training for mages, removal of mist training for F/Ps, Big Bang in general, etc.
The game is always changing and not only items. A lot of things were easier or harder before, you just have to learn to adapt to changes.

if i remember correctly, on 1vs1, impale had to hit around 1.2 million damage to be better than an always-capping sacrifice

Much like statless classes always wanting more of their main stat HP/MP is something I want more of, has nothing to do with sac or in the past berserk. It is just the fact that walking around with 40k HP and 6k MP makes you feel awesome.

Fine, but my statement of pointlessness very much applies if all defence you can muster is that it makes you feel good. I was talking about the game itself here, not personal achievements. Of course you should wash if you got the dollars to burn and it amuses you. Do you need it in any instance of the game? No. x)

Same could be said about having 100% of your main stat or being completely statless when all it allows you to do is kill bosses faster. HP and MP have a use. The more HP you have the less you pot after being attacked, the more MP you have the more you can attack before you need to pot.

You need HP and MP more than you do stats.
