The only reason modern Nickelodeon is still watchable.

The creators stated that Aang lived up to about 70-80 years after the first series, so this would have to take place no less than 90 years after the first series.

Considering they already had a primitive understanding of technology during Aang's time, it's certainly possible for everything to undergo fast-paced modernization.

Especially since industrialization had already begun and the people in this universe can supplement technological progression with straight up magic. Not to mention they are typically globally unified.

The original run was supposed to be 12 episodes, but was extended 26 total planned episodes. I hope it gets just as many as the original series, they really have something special here and I'd hate to see it not be continued.

Didn't they say something about 12 First season and 14 for the Second?

At the same time, I'd hate to see them ruin it. Which is always possible when talking about a sequel series.

Since it's pretty much completely new characters, I have a lot of faith in it.

A unified world, ability to bend the world, and Sokka's ingenuity would surely have skyrocketed technology to the point it seems almost like the early to late 1800s. I am excited for this to come out.
