(old) Keylogger scam

If you get a message like that or similar to it, the link eventually leads to a fake flashplayer update. I never heard of this scam yet so when I checked it out the site I figured it out. Apparently it has been going around for a while. Just a warning.

yap just got one of that in my store. geez, people these days. they're getting lamer by the day. cant they be more creative -_-

Pft the effort people put into hacking these days... if they would just put half that effort into their character they would probably have achieffed alot more =l

There's also that video scam that people put in stores...something similar to like

Hey man...I saw your video at http://www.xxxxxxxxxxxxx.com. It's really cool, I look up to you now ^_^.

And you have to download flashplayer or something at that site...which is fake...which is a keylogger...

I had almost the same message in my store a few days ago too.

What a desperate attempt at a scam.

This has been around for a while now. I think I got the first message from these scammers about a year ago. They recently got semi-creative by making the message insulting; I guess they might anger someone enough to get them to go see what's up with that.

Apparently they get suckers all the time with this, though; I've seen some pretty high-leveled, ranked characters dropping this junk into my shop, so my guess is they get someone, jack their good stuff, then use that character to run the scam until they catch someone else.

Anyone who gets keylogged by this is basically owned unless they use their secret info to reset their password from a clean computer, really fast.

Weird, I've never gotten these messages =/
