Looks like Nexon keeps on adding in new things.

A new "downloader" was added not too long ago.

Apparently, there is a Pirate logo on the downloader.

Once you have installed the MS Downloader Beta from the above link, start downloading the latest MapleStory version by clicking on the MapleStory Downloader icon on your desktop and selecting the location where you would like to save the file. You will be able to pause and resume during the MapleStory client download process."

Wait...only for making patch download speeds faster? Kind of...lame.

They're just trying to lower their bandwidth.

Maybe if it was a patch accelerator. But people don't download the game client every day.

... ya lets see here, so i have a slow comp + slow internet connection i can play maple fine (bosses are a little iffy tho) and well i let the patcher auto load it DL'd then as it was installing some error came up so i restarted maple again and then it just started to reload the stuff and just got stuck on liek ETC.wz or something.. i left it for an hour, nothing.. so i go and DL the manual patch, try it and vola... no work -_- so here i am all sad for no maple... so i save all my SS's Del my maple, and go onto the nexon site to re-Dl the new client, click the link BAM broken link -_- so i use one of the "convienient" Mirror link thingers on the site, download it all (fastforward leik 4 hours) (yes its that slow) and vola seems good.. i run it BAM aparentally the version on the Mirror site was 2 or 3 Patches old and the auto patcher cant patch into it-_- *cut* sooo then im browsing over the site and i see this downloader thing, so i try it, do the small DL for the initial program, then let it download(looked good for the first 20MB or so, at this point its like midnight so i go to bed and leave my comp on *fastforward 6 hours* i wake up check comp SHAZAM the downloader "disconnected from the server" @ 35MB downloaded (of like.. 900MB) so i kick my comp turn it off and go to work, so i get home start the main download from the GMS site(cause aparentally its working now.. and i got 3% left

I loved this similiar feature in JMS. I'm glad Nexon America is bringing it to GMS.

Back on topic, I don't see it being THAT useful unless such a system was used for auto-patching. Nice subtle hint on Pirates though.

Guys; just it just do patches? Or does it help with the whole download?

No idea how you read that and got 'patch downloader'

It's for the FULL CLIENT, guys. Why would this be for the patch?

Unless of course, the latest patch is 1020MB.
