Is it worth getting level 80-90 Lord Pirate Hat?

Lord Pirate Hat lvl 90 acts like a miniature Zak Helm so if you can't afford the Zak helm, just try to aim for the lvl 90 Lord Pirate Hat .

Instead of doing 350 pqs for it just go do zakum pq 20 times and get 100 dm scrolls and sell for 350k each and use that money to buy zhelm much easier. 350 pqs sounds like hell to me.

I have both the pirate hat and a zhelm. I got my 90 hat before the pq requirements were lowered. I guess it depends on the person whether you want to do that many pqs or not. Personally, it was boring for me to do all 500, but I'm using my hat as my hp equip.

I think if you want it, go for it. At least they made it easier to get now...I did 500 before they nerfed it.

The speed/jump/HP/MP are pretty nice in addition to its rugged good looks.

I do believe a basil screenie was posted with a guy who got all 500 done within...2 weeks after the patch? It was crazy.


It looks cool, and the stat boost is great. I was at 12x on my way to the level 70 one when they changed it. I'm tempted to go do another 70 or so just to hit the level 80 one. It is a nice HP/MP boost (I am a crusader, but I currently have 190 MP in equips ), as well as decent stats. Not to mention the fact that you do, although barely, make money with it.

Go for it if you'd like. I still have to complete the 200 Krus/Captains thing so I'll probably end up getting it. XD

You're a sniper, your hp is low. I actually earned my level 90 PPQ hat while already wearing a zhelm. The thing is, the level 90 hat adds 90 def/mdef and 90hp, while zhlem adds just 150def/mdef. I scroll my zhelm for dex (usually explodes after a while), and I scrolled my pirate hat with 60s for hp. Amazingly all 7 worked, so it's a 160hp/90def/mdef hat. With it, I can go to many bosses and mosters quite a bit earlier than I'd be able to with just a dex'd up zhelm.

I'm also the kind of person that likes doing quests (so I'd end up doing at least 80 ppqs anyway), and also likes finishing what he started. I probably ppq'd with just friends for my first 180ish, so it didn't feel like it took long anyway. Def/hp aside, with all of its other stats it is BY FAR the best hat for anything other than a zhelm, and better for survivability than a zhelm if your situation calls for higher hp. Get it if you want it, if you want to 'earn' it, but you won't be lost without it.

Already have my level 70 pirate hat, now have to tolerate 85 more pqs (finished 35 already) to get a very slight upgrade. Until my ranger hits 8x, that's when I return for another 149 more pqs. And again when my ranger reaches 9x.

Pirate hat has things it doesn't have on the zhelm. Zhelm is better on all status (ap stats, def, acc,) but pirate has hp, mp, speed and jump which is a nice addition.

I really hated PPQ so I didn't bother. Z-Helm is always going to be better anyway
