Anniversary Coins Issue Resolution

And you might as well be right, because I'm seeing people in the FM with 100+ Chaos Scrolls in their shops.

No they didn't. What they said can be taken literally as they banned all the exploiters who did it, but legits who bought the exploited scrolls were not banned.

Nexon's entire paragraph:

All players that abused this exploit will be banned, however we understand that some players may have simply made a poor decision, so all players will be given until 5/15/2011 to voluntarily remove the exploited items from their accounts by selling them to an NPC for 0 mesos. If all exploited items are removed in time, you will not be banned (please note that you must remove the items from ALL of your accounts.) Once our investigation is complete and all applicable bans are issued, we will return the items that remain to normal. We hope that most players will do the right thing and remove the items if they know they are exploited.

In the highlighted sections, nexon is also referring to the players who "mistakenly" purchased or received the exploited scrolls.

Nexon's statement reversed:

If all exploited items are not removed in time, you will be banned

If all exploited items are removed in time, you will not be banned

Either way, it was clear that they intended to ban anyone who still had the exploited scrolls regardless of whether or not they were legit by the 15th. This was why there was a number of questions regarding the announcement on the nexon forums/basil with players asking if any anniversary items they held could get them banned.

Had 207. Dropped 7 before the 15th out of boredom. Stayed on until the server went down. Moved 200 Chaos Scrolls to my mule earlier.

They still never said they were going to ban people who bought exploited scrolls. Both of their messages are really lacking in fully detailing stuff as per normal.

Meh, they should know that realistically -all- events that involve exchanging this for that get exploited. Any event where this or that gets shot into the air in a special event map for everyone to collect gets exploited.

This Anniversary is complete garbage to begin with, but it's made even worse because all Maple ever sees are exploiters/script-kiddies that totally ruin most events throughout the year, every year.

One of my Accounts is banned with an lvl 200 char and several 4. job char and Equips worth over 20B.

On This account wasnt even 1 Chaos scrolls only legit obtained coins from hunting maple items.......

Srsly that sux...

Probably because theyre not really profitable and are dangerous.

probably because you'll have to give them 15 bucks to TRY to use them. (the amount was made up, but you all know it's true)

Best thing is, my hacker buddy I know from college who made upwards over 300,000 coins and still has 1000 or so scrolls spread across different accounts, not one of them got banned. NOT ONE.

I had legit chaos scrolls and Maple weapons and was not banned......

Part of me wishes that I was banned anyways..... this game is to addictive for me to quit on my own and I play too much.
