Fatboy Slim!

Certainly one of my favorite musicians and I think the music videos for his stuff is undeniably some of the best out there, period. Fun fact, Fatboy Slim (Norman Cook) (almost) never appears in his videos, not substantially anyway.

He's prone to running contests for people to get involved in the creative and performing parts of the videos. That Old Pair of Jean's video was a juggling contest, where people sent 30 second clips, and they picked the best overall guy and did a full video with him. I know The Joker and Champion Sound were done with contests as well.

Kinda hard to find embeddable videos though. Forgive me when I inevitably get lazy and start linking

I know/like the songs Gangster Trippin' and Champion Sound, but I've never seen the videos before. They have great ideas, I especially liked the Joker and Champion Sound.

The only thing that bothers me about the Champion Sound video is that the girls filming seem to get sexual satisfaction when their domino chain works.

On 13 July 2002 Fatboy Slim performed the second of his free, open air concerts on Brighton beach. Despite expecting a crowd of around 60,000 people the event instead attracted an estimated 250,000 who crammed the promenade and beach between Brighton's piers. Local police forced the event to end early amid safety concerns, overcrowding, and one death. After the music had finished and the crowd began to dissipate, traffic ensued throughout the Brighton area with many caught in traffic jams until the morning.
