Nooby question about skill bonuses on weapons

Just wondering guys, do the skill bonuses on reverse weapons also allow the skill to hit over cap? My boomerang step is 29 + 1 from my dagger atm, and i was thinking of just unequipping my dagger then filling in the point to get bs to 31.

I figure it does but just wanted to make sure, might need that extra point somewhere along the line lol. Thanks in advance.

No. Only CO will take it above cap. Not Reverse gear, nor 1 or 2+ skillpoint potential on unique helmets.
