Is there a way?

Is there a way to completely avoid bigfoot if you wanted to go to the lower ascent map? Using that map of the forest perhaps?

Yes there is. If you didn't chuck the Phantom Forest Map, you can use the stone archways to navigate your way to the Valley of Heroes.

--From the Haunted House, go left to the Swamp Bog.
--Press up at the stone arch in the Swamp Bog to enter one of three Crossroads areas.
--Press up at the stone arch in the Crossroads to get to Forgotten Path. If you fall down, you can go all the way right to return to Swamp Bog.
--Continue to the top left portal in Forgotten Path, don't fall, and you'll be fine. If you fall (BF is here =P), you can take the middle portal and get to the NPC camp, take the right route, then jump down to the lower left portal to return to the Haunted House.

You have to have the map of the forest from the quest...

Basically, from mansion, it's the portal to the left of the hummer. After that, you keep going into the "stonehenge" portals until you reach the top section of forgotten path. Don't enter the stonehenge on forgotten path, though.

Also, if you fall off while you're fighting your way through the top of forgotten path, you *could* land on a bigfoot or a HH.
