It's actualy an intricate random chat generator that is monitered by a few people who switch users around the world to talking to one another thinking they are talking to an AI.

ShiKage Wrote:This is the dumbest theory about anything I have ever heard. How is it dumb? Two people go into a random chat thinking either one is Cleverbot. Just when the conversation becomes inappropriate, or if one of the users tries to prove it fake, they are switched to chatting with another user who was also in the middle of a conversation. Then that's how you end up with random cut-offs of previous conversations, or end up having them reply to you about something completly different. So you get mad, and mind fu'cked about trying to prove cleverbot fake. But the clever thing about this is, there are no names displayed, there is only the users who believe that they are talking to cleverbot, and the admins or the random chat program that mixes up random people to talk to one another and then switches them again every few seconds.

PLEASE NOTE: Cleverbot learns from real people - things it says may seem inappropriate - use with discretion, and at YOUR OWN RISK PARENTAL ADVICE: Visitors never talk to a human, however convincing it is - the AI knows many topics - use ONLY WITH OVERSIGHT

If that were the case, why does Cleverbot keep referring to itself as a computer? If I were talking to a live person, I wouldn't call myself a machine.
