Well, just challenging for me, since I've never had to write much of it academically at the college level.
I was wondering who here in the forum speaks Spanish, and what their background is. Both out of curiosity and out of looking for people to help me out and maybe proofread some of my papers? Its hard finding people here to proofread properly >:
I've spoken Spanish with my entire family my whole life, but only ever have taken Spanish in school my Junior and Senior year of high school. Now I'm a Spanish major and am like ahhhhhh~~~

Took two years of spanish in high school and loved it. Went online and found some buds from Mexico and spoke with them for a summer. Took spanish 3 in school and aced it without trying. Skipped spanish 4. Then went into college and tested into level 500 spanish courses. Took spanish for native speakers (403) for kicks and aced it. Now spanish is just a reflex for me.
I had good teachers.
Loose, Rob, Solarboy are the ones I can name off the top of my head that know spanish.
Hit me up anytime if you need proofreading. I've done it before for Mira.

I'm Hispanic/Dutch, but I understand Spanish a lot better than I speak it. Most of my family's from the Dominican Republic and I only speak Spanish with them because they don't know English. :I

I've always had terrible teachers, so my writing quality is mediocre >:

Read a lot. It's not hard at all to get grammar down, you just have to know words to know the language.
Might I recommend El Principito?

Loose and Solarboy (^), and whoever posted here saying they know Spanish are your best sources for Spanish. =)
For myself, I did take Spanish in High School up to Spanish 3. I liked the language, but my forte is not within languages.

^ Yeah, but a lot of them tend to be rude, since they're younger players from what I've met.
And they use so much short hand I can't understand what they're saying a lot of the time D:

I'm still taking Spanish courses but I've grown to hate learning a new language so I'm only good saying generic insults and that's about it. What more do I need to know if I ever travel to Mexico?

Because languages are beautiful and offer an insight to another perspective of human life D: It terrifies me that America is such a strong monolinguistic society.
