Heavy Weapon Mastery

Does it affect Drill Rush? I know it doesn't include it into it's description but if it's only for Flame Launcher and Gatling I don't see why alot of guides rush to get it maxed second or third. o-o'

the mastery you get in 3rd job affects drill rush not heavy weapon mastery, and i have no clue why they max it so early

I rather like it for Gatling Shot. Though it's use is rather limited once you get to third job.

I barely use gatling shot while training even at level 38 now. I'd rather pour SP into more useful skills. :3

Is there even ANY use for this other than a stronger Gatling and Flamethrower? Because I honestly have no intention of maxing this any time soon if that's the case.

Me and a friend got into a heated debate about why Mastery is more important that Rocket. I chose rocket, and he chose mastery. I won still. Just thought if by skill lvl 10, if I don't want it anymore, I'll switch and max mastery instead.

We'll get a SP reset on Chaos, we can make changes later. But yeah, Gatling Shot is better than Atomic Hammer on PVP, but gets beaten by Punch Launcher.

Having DoT is always useful, at least if it takes more than two or three seconds to kill something.

imo the're both equally iffy. both grant more damage for more points. Rocket has the added benefit of using less MP, while Mastery has the added benefit of increasing the strength of the 1st job skills. in 4th job, MP shouldn't be much of a problem and you probably won't be using 1st job skills. IMO decide which is the lesser of two evils OR max both and leave out booster (which is equally as beneficial as these two).
