Would there be a difference this time as compared to the first time installation? I wasn't aware you would need to manually disable integrated graphics when installing a new one. I thought the computer would automatically default to the new one.
One thing I had to do the first time though was that I had to go into BIOS to re-enable the sound.
The version that came with the card is already outdated and I did try using that old version before updating to the new one. Should I try all the middle updates or something?

When you use a PCI-E or AGP graphics card, usually the BIOS offers a switch to either Auto Detect Primary Graphics Card (which is usually the PCI-E) port, or it has a switch to use PCI-E or Integrated graphics.

Well, I guess it wasn't a PSU issue.
Went out, bought a 500W PSU. Still failed.

did you disable the integrated graphics in bios? What NVidia drivers you on?

There's no option to disable integrated graphics in bios. Unless there's a specific term for it. My comp automatically switched to the new graphics card once i installed it the first time.
I was on 25.9 something.

I don't know why it didn't hit me the first time, so I apologize. You referenced a system file as part of the BSOD.
Right.
That usually props up when the newer drivers don't replace the older system file, so the hardware/OS/mobo don't communicate properly. Ergo, BSOD.
You have to completely uninstall the previous drivers, run driversweeper (tick NVidia option when you run it), reboot, and install somewhat newer NVidia drivers.
Basically your problem is a bug related to your graphics card software. I am 100% confident in this assessment. Your hardware is compatabile with the GPU.

Went and ran drivesweeper. I don't really know how it works. There was a file that didn't get "cleaned". Clean installed into 260.89 and blam. Black screen.
Brought the card to a friend's house and installed it. Same thing. Looks like this is a card problem.
Another forum I posted this on has said that my card is fried. Though I don't really know you can fry a card with a below powered PSU.

If it's fried it wouldn't work period. But if you're getting the same issues elsewhere..... then it's just defective. Can you return it and get a better card though? =p Like a ....... Gt460!

I'd RMA it at this point. Check your warranty and notify the manufacturer.
