IBM Conspiracy V2 - Ice Demon, Big Bang and Mana Reflection

Mana Reflection/Ice Demon are useless, looks like instead of just using 1 Ice Skill we use 2 Lighting Skills, there was really no reason to not make Big Bang Ice :\.

I was planning to do the exact same thing, only difference is that i will switch infinity with big bang :-)

"30 MP Cost: 50, Recovers HP and MP by 10% every 4 secs, Increases Magic ATT by 10% every 4 sec, Duration: 40 sec"

IMO Infinity is one of the most useful skill for bossing post big bang.

You're 155? I'm only two levels ahead of you Tongue, i think we will have to go to skeles all the way to 160, i'm not 100% sure though.

Training at Time Temple seems reasonable to me, the Lighting Weak mobs, Qualms, I might be able to 2HKO the Chiefs, with an E-Staff. I've been at Skeles too long anyway.

Note that in your Mana Reflection calculations you said "(...) * 1000". This should be 1000% instead of 1000, else the damage returned is incorrect to a factor of 100.

One point into Ice Demon, Infinity and BB already makes them immensely useful, though low levels of infinity seems a little too weak for anything...

Also remember the oblivion mobs are lightning weak, and in the level 160 range.

Qualm Mobs are in the 150 range and also weak to Lighting.

Just to mention. Super Body only affects the Battle Mage, and not the aura for party members.

I know, but I wasn't sure if you realized the mobs beyond those were also lightning weak.

If you consider the new changes in kms, ( i dunno when they will apply to gms, but i dont think they would offer us free SP again x] )

I/L Archmage
- Chain Lightning - damage (740 to 810)
- Blizzard - damage (1400 to 1600)
- Ice Demon - damage (260 to 400)

http://www.southperry.net/showthread.php?t=34413&page=1

would ice demon be more useful =] ~? that's a huge increase from 260 to 400

not to mention... for bigbang,, if you release at the wrong time or if you jump (correct me if im wrong, haven't played for a while) , it doesn't attack Tongue

edit: im just wondering does ice demon still reset the elements on the monster, i.e goby houses @_@?

Ice Immune -> Ice Strong
Ice Strong -> Ice Neutral
Ice Neutral -> Ice Weak
Ice Weak -> Ice Weak

New change lets Ice Demon actually be used to train, instead of farm. Instead of just being freeze on demand, you can actually use it to mob DPS instead of Chain Lightning that only hits three monsters.

Does the new Ice Demon have any affect on Lightning affinities?

It shouldn't unless they changed it again. All it does is what I listed above. Same for Fire Demon except replace Ice with Fire. hurr.

Zero I/L experience, so don't be offended if something is totally off. Just trying to contribute a few ideas. (All skill data taken from Fiel's restructuring data http://www.southperry.net/showthread.php?t=34413)

Ideas:

- Free up 1~4 points by capping Blizzard at 26+ without maxing it.
 Spoiler

- Elquines could also save a point or two at the cost of 5% damage/point
 Spoiler

- Ice Demon @ Level 25 for 90% DoT
 Spoiler

- Big Bang @ 25, losing 10% Damage
 Spoiler

Just a few ideas to consider and process within the mindset of an I/L. Tongue

In the end you just need to save a few points on maxing skills, that is, have ONE 4th job skill unmaxed. Most players would choose Mana Reflection.

El quines and Big Bang are expendable since they're not used often in training and elquines won't be much worse because of 10% less damage. However, Blizzard and Ice Demon have DoT, so there's a decent loss of DoT by not maxing those skills.
