Hourglass with an item lock

Item locks share the same expiration date slot in the data as expiring items. What happens when you use an hourglass with an item lock?

1. Hourglass extends the seal date.
2. Item becomes expiring after the seal is gone.
3. Hourglass removes the expiration date.
4. Doesn't work.

The item that the hourglass being used on technically won't be a cs item.

There's an entirely individual string stating whether or not the item is time limited. I imagine it to be easy to check for such a trigger that allows the item to be Hourglass'd. So no.
