So yeah, I'm stuck on some stuff about the Safari Zone and I'm trying not to get too annoyed about it.
So I've been trying to get Gible at Rocky Beach. I put 13 Plain Objects and 17 Peak Objects there and did the 23:59 -> 00:00 trick about 105 times, saving after each time. After that whole time, I went into Rocky Beach for about two hours and couldn't find any Gibles. Strangely enough, I couldn't find any Arons there either. I didn't get any phone calls from Baoba (are you supposed to get phone calls when new Pokemon appear? I got one when Trapinch appeared...) either. After that, I left the items there and waited over 100 days (approximately 102, until today). I went back to Rocky Beach still having those blocks there and couldn't find any Gibles. I couldn't find any Aron, yet again. However, for some weird reason, I had 8 Peak objects in the Peak area, and Lairon appeared. Also, I left 10 Forest objects in the Desert, which nabbed me a Cacturne. I didn't get a phone call for that Cacturne, like I did with Trapinch.
So yeah, if anyone could expound on this, I'd be grateful. I feel like the blocks in Rocky Beach didn't increment or something, since I didn't see Aron...
Also, could someone explain to me how this block system really works? For example, if I leave a Peak block in a place for the first increment, will only that block count for 2 points? E.g. if I put in 29 other blocks, it'll be 29 + 2*1 = 31, or would it be 2(30) = 60? Also, is that increment factor only in place for one region, or does it count for all regions? I'm assuming so, since I don't remember ever having used Peak area, but after the Peak blocks incremented in the Desert, they seemed to have counted as incremented in Peak.
Yeah... that's a lot of stuff. I'd be grateful if someone could help. A bit peeved at not being able to get Gible to show up.
