Lagtastic gaming.

Browsing too but it's not as bad. YT videos take a while to load and images load really slow, but this is at its worst when I'm playing MMOs. My roommate doesn't seem to be lagging, or so she tells me.

I've restarted my router, made sure no appliances interfered with the connection (all I have plugged in are my laptop, router and speakers) and I've been lagging like this for two weeks.

Any tips on how to fix this? x_x

Based on your symptoms, first guess is malware or spyware.

Get Spybot Search & Destroy or Adware, and then get Malware Antibytes. Tell Spybot to do a boot-scan so it can delete stuff that has harvested itself deep. Do the same with Antibytes.

If that doesn't work, defrag your system.
