What cultural theme is Mu Lung?

Who has the last name Lung anyway? o.O?
Although I am not the best with Chinese last names, because some of the names from the mainland are the most unusual to me. Know someone with the name Lang, but definately not pronunced the same way you say lung in English. Like you said, sounds like wolf, but unless you are non-Chinese, you won't say it that way.

I always assumed that Mu Lung was Chinese because of the Pandas. Also, porcupines and alligators are found in China, but not in Korea. In fact, alligators are only endemic to China and the US. Also, the ginseng root monsters I'm guessing are important in Chinese medicine.

But then again, Maplestory and Nexon don't make much sense in the first place.

It's most definately Korean, except for the pandas. But hey, koreans always claim that Chinese history is theirs... even though it's proven to be a hoax...

That is very true. Who said it had to be culturally based? It is probably just based on Kung Fu and everything one might associate with Kung Fu.

Lang (waves; wolf; and other words with the same Pinyin) pronounced with proper Chinese/Pinyin ways will sound like the English way of pronouncing Lung.

Yea I know, I thought the name Mu Lung came from "木浪" which means 'wood wave', though I don't really see how Mu Lung is related to waves tho =\.

EDIT: Actually it could be "木莨" which means 'wood herb'. Yea it fits better.
