okay after finallly gettin home from work.... i patched up my maple on both vista and xP.

both website and launcher work perfectly well on both OS >.> so i dont know why people are having problems cuz mine worked without any errors.

Is this supposed to be the rumored error?


I tried launching from the website but the mushroom just ignored me.

/launched the launcher (xd)
Game auto patched. Pressed play but it showed the error window, some Maple has to close crap.
Tried launching the game again from the launcher shortcut I have on the taskbar. Same thing, maple error blah.
Launched the game from website (using Firefox btw). Worked like a charm.
\Using Vista.

Seems like I'll be forced to launch from website, but at least it works... Although I haven't tried not launching the game from the shortcut, but from the Nexon folder.

The website launch is prompting me to download its client, presumably because it can't find the Maple files in the default directory (C:\Nexon\MapleStory, perhaps). Can anyone link me to a guide on how to direct the website to launch the files in my designated location (D:\MS v.087)?

The maplestory client registry is in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wizet\MapleStory
ExecPath is the key you want to edit (eg. mine is J:\MapleStory) If I remember right, this is the path GameLauncher uses when you click to not visit the website.

You have the same problem as me. Try logging in from the website.

Just to make sure, did anyone with problems on Windows 7 install windows updates these past 2 days?
