PIC is hackable >_>

So I just got on my aran today and noticed that my character was missing half of his equips, all his mesos and some other items.

this means someone hacked my account and that someone compromised my PIC. My PIC was utter jibberish it wasn't something someone could guess. Now I've lost even more irreplacable items and I don't know what to do.

Email wasn't compromised. the only account info I share is for my Southperry Account.

Well how did they obtain your log in ID and password? Perhaps you were keylogged or somehow leaked your information.

Never knew hackers would only take half of your stuff. Sounds like someone felt guilty about it.

This was kinda established a while back with Fiel's experiment.

I'd have to guess this was indeed someone you knew. Just seems too strange for a completely random hacking.

Even with the nearly certain random hackings a few months back, not all my equips were taken.

Take half of the stuff, the guy still goes back to playing his character. Hack him again later when he's rebuilt.

If I hacked an account, I wouldn't take all the weapons and equips of the guy I hacked, unless they were golden or something, or I could use them for my job. It's too much of a hassle to sell those things, and the hacked guy could recognize them in FM, maybe I don't have a mule to sell them and don't wanna get one. I'd just get the Pacs, Fs, scrolls, mesos, and whatnot which can be good no matter what.

One account suddenly being compromised isn't proof of the PIC being hackable. Sorry.

From what I heard they can generate a script that sends the new PIC and PW to the hackers Email instead of yours. Of course I take that with a few grains of salt. Like my tequila.

Eh. Hacked as if "Okay I see your character on Maplestory, I know nothing about you or your personal background, but b**** your info is mine now," I don't see as possible.

Linking stupid things like email address, forum accounts, "MSN" instant messenger, "Facebook" instant messenger or whatever it is, stuff like that, yeah I can see it being possible to get hacked.

From my experience getting keylogged hacked, and others that I know that got hacked, they didn't do a clean sweep theft. They seemed to be in a hurry, quickly taking all of your mesos and scanning for some of your higher value items.
