It took me... less than 5 minutes to get Steam downloaded and set up and 15 minutes (?) to download Portal and click "play." That guy is a moron.

So I started playing now.

Weirdest thing. It'll run really fast for a while, and then start lagging. Pause, alt tab out, come back in a minute or so- no lag. After a while, lag again.

It's not too bad, since I can get a lot done before the lag starts again, but weird as hell. Wish I knew what was wrong; I've turned the quality down on just about everything, and the automatic recommendation is usually high.

hurrrrr, downloaded it and beat normal gameplay in about 3hrs.
Good game, except I had a shitload of lag the whole time and I couldn't get rid of it.

I think I might vomit vomit of awful. Oh my gosh. I think I might find him in real life and kill him.
