Bad lags problem

Ok so, I had a network problem at home (in real), so my dad bought a new router+modem, it was 2weeks ago, and since then my main char (only) lags really bad - I can barely play, keep dcing, every action takes few mins..
I guess this problem has, somehow, something to do with the new router, but how come only one char lags? the rest are all good.
Also, I have two Windows softwares installed on my comp (one is unused - it was broken or something, and made my comp crash every few mins, and I havent removed it). Is there a chance this is the cause for my problem?
Except of maple, my internet works well - sites are uploading fast, msn is ok, the files-download speed is the same as it was before (not very fast).
Hope you guys can help me... for now, I tried reinstalling - it didnt help, and now im gonna uninstall maple, restart my comp, use the CCleaner program (someone told me it might help) and then redownload maple.

I guess I'll like.. worship the person who'll find the solution (if there is one).

Kind of late, but...
Have you tried changing which character is designated as the main character on the web site. That seemed to make a difference for some people, strange though it may seem.
Does your main have a pet? Sometimes the pet seems to cause extra lag for me, especially with looting enabled. Both the usual stall type lag as well as frame-per-second type lag.
I was blizzing at harps, and getting down to as slow as one frame per second or less, until i disabled the pet. Weird stuff. I used to use pet loot all the time, never had it like that before.
