Unless you're in Galacia. Or...you just started Maple.

Evan's pretty much a no-no as a first char for a new user, unless they spend NX right of the bat.

Yes we can make NX via MTS and all that crap, but that is the point in the end SOMEONE will have to pay MONEY to get the Mastery books. Meaning it's obviously not Free2Play... >_> If someone has to pay for an item that was originally made to be in-game.. Well that's ridculous. I'm not a 'rich' maplestory player, the most I've earned is 100 mil.. and holding that figure is a struggle for me.. Yes I suck at saving, but I would rather buy items that will have a value to me, then use it to get 'Real Cash' to use in game on an item that should of already been available to me.

I know quite a few people who rarely have more than a few mil..and people who are brilliant savers, either way not everyone can afford to buy nx cash and not everyone can afford to use the MTS. Nexon make a few extra bucks and a couple thousand players get screwed over. Brilliant ratio.

Myles Wrote:You can still play for free, just extremely below-par with Evan. With very, very low survivability.

And don't forget, you can always MTS for NX (like I've been doing), or you can do the free NX surveys. It's still free even if you want a perfect Evan. It just takes time.

The point is that now it takes NX for a character to be able to max all their skills. Before people that didn't get NX couldn't buy 2x cards, shop permits, AP resets, and all that stuff, but there were always in game alternatives, like blood build instead of HP washing. Now one can't make their character stronger without getting NX in some form, which to many buying may be the only option for one reason or another.
