He's a 17x MM, what do you expect? Hurt

I'm going to try logging on now. Reset my pw yesterday at work and didn't get any IP ban, so all is good so far. Tongue

Here's a thought i think combattente would enjoy.

An undeniable fact about tespia was that a lot of people would sign up on mule accounts just to get in, which technically makes it easier for the people who are RIGHT for the job. Everyone pretty much has a fair shot, especially if you consider the little tespia hints they've been dropping in the data which implies that the next tespia lottery will be done IN GAME for a change.

.. I have 2 more account's I wanna change the password to.. but I dunno I've done 2 so far.. Is it a concrete fact that doing 10 accounts will IP ban you or is it just any random number..?

It always happens to me on the 10th one. 9 only and you are ok. This inclues logins as well, not just pw change. (Only long into 9 unique accoutns per ip address.)

I did 4 yesterday and 2 today, and everything seems good for me so far. I think you'd be good, but don't hold me to it.

Wow, I never even knew they were doing this. o.o I changed four passwords so far - and since the rest I don't really play anymore, I think I'll leave them alone...

They finally did something where I can actually get banned - not my fault my characters don't like sharing with each other... :|

EDIT: Also have to note that the company itself is making me less and less interested in playing Maple now. Maybe it's their way of saying 'it's time to move on...'

Yes, they all share the same IP Address.

It looks like it's 9 accounts per day. I logged in 8 yesterday and 2 today with no ban. I wonder if their time resets at midnight or 24 hours.

The IP address is set by your ISP. Sometimes you can get a new one by rebooting your modum (because usually ISP's supply dynamic IP addresses).

I guess it's more clear to say that my problem with the website is the website itself. I don't trust it very much, probably because Nexon has easily demonstrated again and again their inability to build a stable secure website... My main account hasn't been logged in to the site since a year or two ago (when did MTS come out? I don't have to charge NX through it anymore). I didn't get hacked this December so knock on wood.

Sadly, what you said isn't right.

I mean, the fact about the mule accounts is right, but the fact about the hints which imply that the next tespia lottery will be done in game isn't.

The only hint was that "Certificate of the Great Tester", right? Well. I've checked if it exists on KMS, and guess what? Yeah, it does. It is probably used in KMST for something, and since NEXON America has already copy-pasted ETC items from KMS before which we never used / are going to use, this is nothing special, really, nor it means that Tespia will come back any time soon. I made the "Call to Action" for Tespia because of that. I knew that they didn't mean to open it back, so I at least wanted to try that way. As expected, nobody cared about it as always, nor NEXON did about my various posts on their forums about it, so I just decided to give up about it. It will NEVER open again. EVER.

RIPGobies Wrote:The smart thing they could have done instead of taking down Tespia is invite the ones with a record of legitimate reports instead of accepting randoms monthly, but hey, it's Nexon, can't put logic and Nexon together.

That wouldn't have helped cut down the spam they claimed was the reason it wasn't worth doing - The form to submit Tespia reports was public. Anyone with a Nexon account was able to send them crap. Just cutting out that chunk of the population would've probably made it much easier because you know at least 50% of what was submitted was "How can I get into Tespia?"/"Why does tespia say my account no worky?"
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.
