Site for school has approx 60 pages now. Should expand. An easy to edit links bar, footer, etc. would be REALLY nice, so I start looking into includes. w3 Schools comes to the rescue.... kinda.
http://www.w3schools.com/asp/asp_incfiles.asp
I copy those files, put them up on the server and... nothing. Teacher tells me the site has ASP support. Is our webmaster an idiot, or am I missing something important?
Dreamweaver renders the includes fine in the Design Tab, by the way.
I just want to include files with one line of text in the document to edit. JS method I have is annoying because 1) school blocks js files from being downloaded (<.<) and 2) requires 3 or 4 copypastas per document to add it to. If SSI, PHP, or something else is easier to make work, I'm told the server has PHP support too, then I'm all for it. Just want one line of copypasta per document. :/
