Can I install this hard drive on my computer?

Hi I have a HP Pavilion a1514n, running windows XP. It came with a 250 GB hard drive and now I'm trying to upgrade. I want to buy and install a "WD Caviar Green 1.5TB 32MB/ SATA-3G" hard drive. The problem is I'm not sure if my computer has an open slot of not and if the actual wires to connect the sata drive are there in my case. The specs are below:

5.25" external Two (One available)
3.5" external Two (One available)
3.5" internal One (None available)

It says I don't have any internal ones available but I have one external. Does that mean I can install the harddrive or will I have to take out my current one to install the new one. Thanks.

I think it'll work, just mount it behind one of those 5.25" bays. You do have the required connections.

Are you using the Green for OS/program purposes? Those types of drives are mainly for storage use..

If you need a HDD for program/OS usage, get a WD Caviar Black instead.

If I were to order an OEM version of the drive would I need extra cables/mounting materials, or are the cables already inside my case? Also what would I need if everything wasn't there?
