Nexon is experimenting
#21
Nexon isn't experimenting. It's somehow landing things by accident. Before the frog and cat got turned into a boss, it was very Bigfoot like. I believe that the frog's first form is functioning the same way Bigfoot was intended to function when it was first released, except with the damage cap being at 1 instead of at a better set number.

If Nexon were truly experimenting, it would not have changed the Frog and Cat bosses to the traditional boss, meaning nothing extra affects it.

When I was talking about a boss, I meant something like Blaze Core, but with skills that kill you easily, not summon monsters.

Basically, a boss with high touch damage, but is immoble, that uses skills to kill you, but you can avoid them. That sounds fun to me.

Sounds like Zakum and the fire pillar attack only...

But seems there's a special property like absolute "# damage" for monsters and not just a boss flag. No matter what you hit it with it does that specific number damage. You can still poison it, and it'll still show the # damage it's set to per second. This was applied on the New Year Sack too, where whatever you hit it with, it's always 2009 damage, regardless of any other effects. Snipe won't trigger the auto-kill effect if this property or the boss flag is checked...

But yea a boss fight where you could dodge and strike for real would be very welcome.

neo tokyo?

vergamot b1: boss shoots yellow laser, followed by dispel laser.
vergamot b3: listen to background sound, then crouch to ground to avoid missiles that deal 13k dmg + seduce.

(but all the range pt does is crouch all the way leaving melee to hit away).

dunas1 : counting his magic attacks to predict his 10k dmg reflection casting.

auf haven: omg pain in the ass. even a dk with 30k after hb can die thanks to her instant dispel + rush... (real life avoidance would be float barely above her head to kill her and predict her rush and super jump up...) but in reality, you still die..

I'm not quite following you here, if you are arguing for how avoid and shifter will make you survive an isolated situation where you would be 1hit KO:ed, sure, but it will not last you an entire bossfight.

And about boss fights where you would have to dodge manually, we do not have those yet, hence me wishing for it.
Neo Tokyo, along with every single Zipangu area, have especially poorly designed boss fighting where you have to have insane amounts of HP considering the bosses levels. A shame really, since they make such beautiful boss artwork.
