To be a YouTube partner or not.

Hey Dudes and Dudettes a few weeks ago i got a email from YouTube about becoming a partner, at first i was like Awwww Yeah, but after reading there rules for partnership I'm like Awww Nuuu.

So Pretty much for those that don't know i used to make(still do sorta) Video's on YouTube about maplestory i put a few up and they got popular so i kept making them, TL;DR = i got lots of subs and views...


Now my question you valued southperry member is....

Is using maplestory clips in a video copyright infringement? since one of the requirements of there Terms is that every thing must be original..

Well, this guy gives lyrics to video game music and the videos mostly consist of clips from the game, so it's probably ok.

No. Nexon itself hosts maple AMV events and commercial events through youtube.

Yeah, it would be nice to get paid for minimal effort but i would rather not alert the recording company's to my copyright infringement. oh well

Yeah, I'm sure everyone who ever created a maplestory video created the images and music they used, and not the ones owned by nexon. Hint: You wouldn't get away with using them for profit, or at the very least, it wouldn't be legal.

I don't think they'll let you in posting MS videos. As far as I know, the guy that Spaz posted (Brentalfloss) applied to be a partner for a few videos and didn't get in.
