Energy Charge doesn't really give accuracy?
#1
So as you all know, Energy Charge supposedly gives up to 20 accuracy when activated. Yet it doesn't actually seem to be implemented, at least in my experience.

According to screaming statue's accuracy calculator, I hit Elder Wraiths 80.7% of the time without any buffs, and with Energy Charge, I hit them 100% of the time. Here's my stats if you need them:
 level 91, 146 accuracy
So according to this data, I should miss them without Energy Charge, but hit them with it, right? Well I miss them without Charge, as predicted.
 without Energy Charge
...But I still miss them with Energy Charge!
 with Energy Charge
It really seems to me like the same 80% hit rate as without Energy Charge. Has anyone else noticed this glitch of sorts?

It's either a glitch, or the calculator is wrong.

I calculated it with the exact formula and got a bit over 100%, just like it should be. Silly glitches, not letting me train at Typhons as early as I'd like Rolleyes

Energy Charge never seemed to add accuracy, but it's not a big problem with Pirates because of a skill that adds 20 accuracy, and the fact they get slightly more accuracy per point of DEX than even a warrior. I can hit Captain Oblivion Guardians without needed a Sniper Pill, and I'm DEXless. 184 accuracy.

Probably. I didn't miss with Energy Charge on while at Typhons (Had like 80% hit-rate w/o)

The Accuracy given by Energy Charge is glitched in JMS as well, so it's not just gMS. They need to fix it, because it's quite stupid to have that in there without the function working.

You mean like (Super) Transform's + 40 weapon and magic attack? Big Grin

It works. The thing is that the client doesn't show the accuracy actually being applied when it is being applied server side. You'll see a "miss" but it'll be doing damage as if you had hit them. I've killed tons of typhons and nightshadows by missing them.

Yeah I was just noticing that. I noticed that a lot of times when luring an untouched monster I'd hit it and it'd say "MISS," but it would still be missing health. I was thinking that it was just Charge's PG-like feature, but it seemed too frequent. Thanks for the info.

No, that was in KMS Tespia ONLY. Before they added Pirates to the official version, they nerfed Transform and got rid of the STR thing. It's not supposed to happen.

Uh wow. Not even the 30 STR boost for Super Transform that Fiel extracted for 4th job tables? Baw.
