The effects of Maker on the economy
#81
My bishop is fun to play, thanks for asking.

I don't think many people pick up their drops at Newties o_O;; I've also noticed that skeles drop things like DC ores more than they drop Wisdom, which doesn't exactly push the ore into being common. Harps on the other hand... I think there might still be a little room for the LUKless community in any event. Most of the rich ones realize that the tradeoff to adding perhaps 6 into LUK is that they get a lot of stats from low level LUK gear. I think curryishott wears a starlight or something? In addition to LUK from a HTP and a ZHelm, I think its at least possible that some of them could wear at least the low level LUK stuff. If a LUKless has to add 6 LUK to get a 9-10 stat shoe, I mean, that should answer itself lol.

Well maybe with maker they will start looting. Still I can't believe people don't loot with all the baw-ing we hear over how expensive the ultis are. The ores would be common enough to scroll the one pair of shoes you would need. Even if you plan to chaos scroll them I think you'd be able to get enough ores to make another shoe before you got enough chaos scrolls to fully scroll it. The luckless ones that have HTP and Zhelms that would still buy shoes, would fall into the lazy 4th jobber category I mentioned then. Are our mages that lazy? I don't think they will pay out for these items at a rate that will be very profitable for merchants since if the price is high (or more than they think its worth) they can farm what they need fairly easily (definately more easily than other classes). If the price then has to be set low to get sales, making profits low, will it still be plausible venture for merchants?

Well with Newties, unless you had a pet, its pretty hard to loot >>;; I was looting the nests and just counting how many mesos came in vs. how much I was losing because the little buggers kept hitting me. It came out to be roughly the same as if I were just standing there Genning >_>;; With skeles, unless you can cleanly kill all of them for sure, one of them is bound to be aggroed and shoot you with lazers. That's like, 1-2K down the drain each time one of them does that, and you only really pick up like 10K each time (although to be fair I did pick up most of my drops at skeles even when I didn't have a pet)

I'd say my pet has easily paid for itself at Newties, I profit about 400k/hr plus drops, just from sniping the 2 middle platform Jr. Newties. If I didn't have it, they respawn so fast it wouldn't be worth trying to loot - like you say, lose more money than you gain.

It is more doable at Skelegons since they're mobile - you don't have them standing exactly on all the drops.
