Maker and ores - which stats do they add?

The main maker thread only lists crystals (diamond, sapphire, topaz, garnet...) but not minerals (steel, silver, gold, bronze...)

So does anyone know what the minerals add?
Also, is this info listed in the Maker "guidebook" you get? Or did someone do trials to figure it out?

Another related question - If I refine an ore, and get a lq one [~70% chance). How many times can I try to upgrade it? (I assume it only takes mesos to upgrade)

I realize that and I clearly didn't see it. And I am literate, tyvm. Don't take my skimming of your thread as being illiterate, I didn't care for the technicalities, I only wanted to know what I needed to make and in that careless decision I missed an important point of the thread.

I can clearly read and write. I am a well-informed and educated person, who just happens to miss some important details. I miss one thing and all of the sudden I'm illiterate.
And, just a suggestion, you should probably bold your sentence in the recipes thread so no one else will skip it as I did in the future.

As soon as they finish translating our version of Maker that entire post of tables will be replaced with a prettier one straight from the .WZ files so it becomes a moot point.

Gets asked a lot lately if Dusk's rapid reply didn't make that obvious.

I refuse to add them to my tables since we don't have even have ToT yet and if we get ToT before Maker it'll become a moot omission when I post the updated Maker info.

I wish they'd hurry up and release Maker already.

Literacy does not translate into clarity. Some of us are processing gigawatts of information per minute, and can't afford to slow down in our hectic lives. Like say, trying to fill out dozens of applications in a day and taking 15 minutes to go through everything new in sp.net since the last time visited. There's a fking business and art with this entire thing. A psychology quirk about a car ad being hosted by a sexy chick caused the majority of (sample) men to remember the ad and the sexy chick, but not the car. Think of the sexy chick as the bolded words screaming "PAY ATTENTION TO ME". Giving the car this kind of power instead of the ad host will make the ad much more effective.

Also, I do see your point in the ToT-related Maker info, but wouldn't it be nice anyways if people knew ahead of time just exactly how much materials they needed when forging ToT items such as the armors? That, and you don't have to bother with it anymore. On the other hand, if Maker never came out, oh well, too bad.
