Family Rep Points Disappearing
#1
So I just wanted to know if anyone knows when their rep points got reset.

I had one character who had their rep points reset to 0. I know that the family system is glitched, but is this a glitch that resets every time there is a new patch/server check?

Or when does it happen?

I play on Khaini.

How do you mean reset? as in both rep gained total and rep gained today? or just one or the other?

I'm sure plenty of people would've enjoyed the fours hours total of 2x you guys had over the weekend instead of having the family system at all.

misc86, what server do you play on anyway?

You're suggesting that the solution to the family system problem in Khaini is to cause more rollbacks. I like, I like.

This entire problem sounds like improper implementation and/or bad coding. I've heard of people not losing their rep points, and many other losing it all.

EDIT: Oh Sarah, you are so silly xD

Wow, you really need to get over the fact that we got 2x experience, it's not that big of a deal. With a working family system over there on Scania, you can get 20 hours of 2x so... maybe I should follow you scanian's around going UGH YOU GET ALL OF THE 2X YOU WANT AND AREN'T FORCED TO SIT THROUGH 2 HOURS OF IT.

Get over yourself; I was making a point. That point being that the family system is a giant barrel of suck. First off, finding a group of people that all click together in terms of level ranges is hard enough; most of you find yourselves in families with people you don't even know. One person devotes tons of time to training, their Junior gets rep, however, the trainer's child chooses not to train, and their Junior cuts ties. This system is, all in all, completely unfair, as I can assure you that you won't find a family with more than 12 people who all train equally; there's always going to be at least one person unhappy. That being said, I can assure you that more people benefited from the four hours of 2x yesterday and the day before than the entirety of Khaini has from the Family System's 2x features since the day it was released.

Uh, sorry Mr. "none of my friends train wahhh"

That's plenty of 2x to be had. At least half of my rep goes to providing my Jrs, who I am good friends with, with party 2x while training with them. It's a good system, just make sure you actually do what the system is intended to do and help your Jrs out once in a while so it's not a one-sided deal.

What? If you think that my aggression that comes with the posts regrading this system are a result of my own selfishness, you couldn't be more wrong. I'm referring to the majority of the Maple community. The bolded parts of your posts are how the system SHOULD work, but that, with the Maple community being what it is, is not the case.

I'm not accusing you of anything, I'm just showing you that people do benefit from the Family system and that it doesn't suck as much as you say it does if you use it right.

Oh, I know the family system doesn't suck for everybody. In fact, the points I've got up in that screenshot will be put to good use during the 2x events that will most likely come with this month's anniversary. However, everything stated four posts above shouldn't even be debatable; it's fact. Without a large guild/group of friends who all train regularly, combined with a sense of equality (This is where people f'uck up), then you're pretty much screwed over while everyone else is enjoying their "free" 2x.

Thanks for the replies thus far. I play in Khaini. I had 2000 points of rep reset to 0.

Does anyone know if this happens during a SC or a patch?
