Fake Shot before Invisible a viable build?
#1
Although they both have the same speed, same mob number, and invisible shot does 50% more damage per enemy, fake shot has some distinct advantages.

-It can shoot close range
-stuns mobs
-uses NO BULLETS

With a cleric to heal you, this make almost any infighter or other melee class training spot useable for a gunslinger.

Do you think it's worth maxing before invisible shot?

I wouldn't do it, fake shot does not do the damage you would expect from the % listed in the description.

Agreed.

Plus, Invisible Shot is like, godly for Gunslingers O_o.

Fake shot doesn't have mastery.

My cousin tried this when Pirates came out. This build failed, badly.

fake is horrible in terms of attack. it's only purpose is stun, because it's damage is pathetic. invis is just too good

invisible shot. i honestly do not thing fake shot has any mastery with it. i've seen myself do 1 dmg w/ it using it.

Blank Shot sucks. You rarely need to stun monsters in 2nd job (or ever, for that matter - Ice Splitter replaces it in 3rd job and CGs are like, the only thing you'll ever need to Stun that's worth killing and doesn't die in one hit). Gunslingers do low damage, you need to milk the power you get from Invisible Shot for all it's worth. It's the only thing that lets slingers train at a pace that matches other classes in 2nd job.

sounds like a bad idea to me =/

plus you only have to deal with mobs running up to you until you have 1 recoil. then you can run away. by 50 youre well off with some in recoil. maybe a build where you sacrifice 2 lvls to get 1 into recoil early would be almost worth it, but you really need invis shot.
